That was a good game. Vrana and Carlson are studs. Really hope Kuznetsov is ok. The ice started to slope the Jets way after he left the game.

Was at the game, Tanev’s hit looked a bit innocuous at the time (homer)... but after looking at the GIFs on Twitter, thinking he should sit for a few games (at a minimum). It’s gotta be teeth or jaw, eh?

Was rooting for the Caps after the Jets were knocked out last year. Your systems are killer... best of luck the rest of the year.

Hope to see you guys again in June.

Yes, I thought I would see you guys last June...

Love Patrik Laine and was impressed once again with is play. 8 goals so far, so I have a feeling he's about to go on a tear.

Hellebuyuck played well for sure, but you come to expect that now from him. Tanev may hear from the league particularly with a team a little sensitive to supplementary discipline with the Wilson saga. Maybe not a repeat offender but that can always be the excuse...have to start somewhere. That being said I don't view Tanev as a dirty player but just one who may have to be accountable for his actions.

Why do you think Samsonov gets the call up while Vanecek is having a stronger season so far? Also would be better so Ilya gets some more starts in the AHL

My wife asked me the other day if I think the game has changed from the late 70's and early 80's and if I think it is better.

My answer was that it has definitely changed as there is more skill and speed but I did say what I miss most is the physicality and manliness of the game. To that something like the Morrisey and Oshie event would be looked at as two MEN going into a corner and BOTH knowing that it is going to get physical and it is up to the both of them to look out for and protect themselves, and unless someone comes out of the corner missing a limb you just move on.

So to even consider calling that event "dirty" is in my mind an embarrassment and is taking away one of the greatest things in the game of hockey which is the physicality.

ps: Perhaps if Oshie had not had Morrisey's arm locked up in a death grip when Morrisey attempted to back away, neither of them would have fallen to the ice in a tangled mess.
